Hukumar Kula da Ingancin Abinci da Magunguna ta ƙasa (NAFDAC), na shirin kafa dokoki domin rage yawan sinadarin gishiri a cikin abincin da ake sarrafawa da kuma wanda aka riga aka shirya a masana’antu, bayan da jami’ai suka bayyana cewa ’yan Nijeriya na cin gishiri fiye da adadin da ƙa’idojin duniya suka amince da shi.
Babbar Daraktar Hukumar, Mojisola Adeyeye, ta bayyana haka ne a wani taron masu ruwa da tsaki da aka gudanar kan daftarin dokar rage gishiri a abinci na shekarar 2026, inda ta jaddada cewa yawan amfani da gishiri na daga cikin manyan abubuwan da ke haddasa mace-mace da za a iya kaucewa, musamman ta hanyar cututtuka kamar hawan jini da bugun jini.
A nata jawabin, Daraktar Tsaron Abinci da Gina Jiki a hukumar, Eɓa Edwards, ta bayyana cewa matsakaicin adadin gishirin da ’yan Nijeriya ke ci a rana ya kai gram 10, wanda ya ninka kusan sau biyu fiye da adadin giram 5 da Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya (WHO) ta tanada a matsayin mafi dacewa.
Ta ƙara da cewa, bincike ya nuna cewa adadin gishirin da ake sha a Nijeriya na kaiwa tsakanin giram 2.85 zuwa gram 10 a rana, lamarin da ke ƙara haɗarin kamuwa da cututtuka marasa yaɗuwa kamar cututtukan zuciya, hawan jini, cutar ƙoda da bugun jini.
Masana sun bayyana cewa irin waɗannan cututtuka na kashe kusan kashi 29 cikin 100 na dukkan mace-mace a Nijeriya, inda cututtukan zuciya ke taka rawa mai girma, musamman a sakamakon sauyin rayuwa zuwa birane da kuma yawaitar amfani da abinci na zamani da aka sarrafa.
Adeyeye ta ce a yau, abinci da aka riga aka shirya yana zama muhimmin ɓangare na abincin yau da kullum, musamman a birane, duk da cewa yana ƙara yawan shan gishiri fiye da kima.
Sabuwar dokar da ake shirin kafa za ta tanadi iyaka ga adadin gishiri a wasu rukunan abinci, tare da wajabta bayyana adadin gishiri a jikin ƙunshin abinci, sannan ta tilasta wa kamfanoni rage yawan gishirin a hankali. Tsarin zai fara da rage kashi 15 cikin 100, da nufin cimma burin WHO na rage shan gishiri da kashi 30 cikin 100 nan da shekarar 2030.
Masana kiwon lafiya daga sashen cututtukan zuciya na Jami’ar Abuja sun bayyana cewa yawan gishiri yana da alaƙa kai tsaye da cututtuka masu haɗari kamar hawan jini, bugun jini da gazawar zuciya.
Sai dai Daraktar ta jaddada cewa nasarar wannan shiri ba za ta tabbata ba sai an samu cikakken goyon bayan masana’antun abinci, tana mai cewa su ne ke da muhimmiyar rawa wajen gyara kayayyaki ba tare da rage inganci ba.
ƙungiyoyin farar hula kamar Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa da Network for Health Eƙuity and Deɓelopment sun marawa wannan yunƙuri baya, tare da kira ga ɗaukar matakin gaggawa domin daƙile cututtukan da ke da nasaba da abinci.
A ƙarshe, an bayyana cewa shawarwarin da aka tattara daga taron za a haɗa su cikin daftarin dokar kafin a mika ta ga majalisar gudanarwar hukumar NAFDAC, sannan daga bisani a tura ta ga ma’aikatun lafiya da shari’a domin tantancewa kafin ta zama doka.
